Fractional-Order Control Strategy for Anesthesia–Hemodynamic Stabilization in Patients Undergoing Surgical Procedures

Fractional calculus has been opening new doors in terms of better modeling and control several phenomena processes. Biomedical engineering seen a lot combined attention from clinicians, engineers researchers their attempt to offer individualized treatment. A large number medical procedures require anesthesia, which turn requires closely monitored controlled level hypnosis, analgesia neuromuscular blockade, as well maintenance hemodynamic variables safe range. Computer-controlled anesthesia given tremendous amount lately. Hemodynamic stabilization via computer-based is also hot topic. However, very few studies on automatic anesthesia–hemodynamic systems exist despite the fact that hemodynamics strongly influenced by hypnotic drugs, while depth hypnosis affected drugs used control. The first multivariable fractional-order controller developed this paper for system. Simulation 24 patients show effectiveness proposed approach.
